HM 3 hero set up for an Assasin
I've been trying to work up a Hero set up for an Assassin for Hard Mode. Unfortunately I only have one Necro Hero unlocked so far so Sab Way is not much of an option at this time (not wanting to play NF again so soon...).
Specifically I am looking for something that will be able to handle a lot of melee, hexes, and conditions. I have been messing with R/P Cautery/Remedy and the one Necro on MM detail but so far I haven't been able to find a real coesive build yet. Any ideas?
The usual henchies I take are Lina / Mhenlo / Talon / Herta.

Use SY! sin found here
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...3&postcount=39
D/N Orders or N/Rt Orders
Koss should run this, if hexes are problematic use [hexbreaker aria]
[cruel spear][blazing spear][disrupting throw][fgj][flail][enraging charge]
BHA ranger, something like this
[broad head arrow][savage shot][distracting shot][splinter weapon][ancestor's rage][lightning reflexes][volley][resurrection signet]
or don't use rit and bring [epidemic]
[epidemic] works wonders b/c of the daze and deep wound

before my sin got the necros necessary for sabway, I ran a build like this:
[golden fox strike][wild strike][death blossom][moebius strike][critical eye][critical agility][critical defenses] 8th optional skill
[save yourselves] Would definately fit here.
For heroes I took a WoH monk, MM sabway necro, and SS sabway necro. Since you only have 1 necro, I'd take an earth ele with sandstorm and wards, but there are many other great options.
Then I would take 2 healing/prot hench, 1 ele, and 1 ranger/memser (mainly for interrupt).
Yes, I take 3 healers, but as an assassin you can end up a little squishy sometimes while pushing out massive AoE damage with death blossom. This is a very stable group build that will keep you from wiping and also let you move through the game at a steady pace.
Just my experience on it.

Why would you run a spear build on a warrior? Paragon primary can do more damage and offer more support to the party...
N/Rt orders will have Splinter so you don't need it on the ranger. Ancestor's Rage sucks on /Rts.
3 healers is the most stupid idea ever, especially if they're all AI healers. All of them will target the same person and massively overheal and waste energy.

Take a warrior secondary for ["save yourselves!"].
Take a paragon with a bar like...
[Blazing spear][aggressive refrain]["they're on fire!"][enfeebling blood][stunning strike][anthem of flame]["go for the eyes!"][resurrection signet]
Take a minion bomber, load up on offense
[jagged bones][animate bone minions][death nova][blood of the master][splinter weapon][death pact signet][putrid bile][signet of lost souls]
Optional slot - I like a BHA ranger or an Earthshaker warrior
[broad head arrow][apply poison][distracting shot][savage shot][lightning reflexes][death pact signet][optional][optional]
You probably want a friend to do this with you for another Necromancer - Barbs and Mark of Pain are huge damage amplifiers here.

You're going to spend many many hours on hard mode and you wont take 15 minutes of your time to unlock 2 necro heroes which would make it WAY EASIER?
I have no time for such nonsence

Sabway is not the be-all and end all.

Unlocking Livia takes a LONG, LONG TIME. Not worth it, rly. Same goes for Hayda or Morgahn.

Which is maybe WHY 3 healers is better because by the time the first and second AI have healed maybe the 3rd will be able to heal someone else? Really rude of you to suggest that it is the most stupid idea ever.
The fact of the matter is that there is no "omg best way evar" to play this game. I was just relating what worked well for me as far as resistance to wiping and overall speed.

SY! Moebius Blossom spammer, I usually take [[Assassin's Remedy] over [[Critical Defenses] because I detest Blind and I don't run a dedicated condi remover.
Pre-Sabway set-up :
Morgahn packing [[Anthem of Fury]
(note: EotN Devona packs [[Backbreaker] )
Master of Whispers.... always N/Rt
Often accompanied by [[Earth Shaker] Jora (Morgahn is such a pimp!) or [[Broad Head Arrow]-[[Epidemic] Pyre (rawr!)
In the end though, the best advice I could give you is: get both Hayda and Livia ASAP as they offer loads of room for experimenting.
EDIT: Yeah, so, pretty much what Snow Bunny said

wtf? to unlock livia and hyda you have to run through like 3 areas then do 4 or 5 quests to get both of them.

An easy exchange is the curses and resto necros for a smite monk and a ritualist. You primarily lose the 1-2-3 value of [Spiteful Spirit] and [Barbs] for minions, and your energy isn't quite as ridiculous either, so you have to explicitly use an option for e-management ([Defender's Zeal], [Castigation Signet], [Offering of Spirit], [Essence Strike]). The benefits are that [Splinter Weapon] (Channeling: 14) is very much like a chainsaw, your [Ancestors' Rage] is fairly strong and [Smite Condition] / [Smite Hex] are very much like Ancestors' Rage in quality.
